I don’t think it’s difficult in my country. (I used to think it was)
Recently, I read that it is the goal of a certain Portuguese publishing company to publish 1000 books per year, and to achieve that goal, they are willing to publish works from Brazilllian authors.
Thus, I’m almost sure my book will be published. (I’m just struggling to finish it. But after 2 years, I expect that to happen this year, as well as the book publication).
That’s good that you’re almost finished. That’s a big accomplishment. In the United States it’s somewhat difficult to get published. A lot of it is just the competition. There are thousands of books submitted, but only a few dozen will get the full treatment, especially for a new author. Also, realistically speaking, even if you do get published, that doesn’t mean you are celebrity! Breaking through in the book world is very much like breaking through in the music business. What are the chances of a singer getting a hit single, let alone being a superstar? Book publishing is very much like that, and being a celebrity is not something that most people will become.
That being said, even if you get your books rejected, you should continue writing, because eventually, even if it takes a few years, some publisher/agent will pick it up, if you write competently enough. Then you can finally see your work published.

How is your book going along so far?
Publishing companies now have all the resources to publish photo books all over all the world with the same productivity and efficacy as that of regular black and white books. Considering the fact that most photo books are in full color, you should choose a publishing company whose book’s are of the highest quality, bar none.
With the advent of digital publishing, you can never go wrong. Good luck!
